U.T. Permian Basin has a number of services that are restricted for use only by the University Community. These services are typically restricted on a specific set of addresses on the campus network. From time to time there is a need for members of the University Community to be able to access these services from either their homes or systems located off campus such as in the "Distance Learning" environment. A proxy server allows this to become a reality.
We are now utilizing an EZPROXY server...client configuration for use of the server is no longer needed. When necessary, you will be prompted to enter your UTPB e-mail (aka. LDAP) username and password. That's all there is to it.
