Currently enrolled students at UTPB receive a computer account. This account is for the exclusive use of the student to whom the account is issued and provides access to a number of services. These services include access to the Blackboard Learning Management System, access to the campus (non-ResNet) wireless network, remote library database access through the UTPB proxy server and access to various campus computing resources through the Active Directory domain.
Important Information About E-Mail
One important item that we need for all students is a preferred e-mail address. Be sure to provide the University with a current e-mail address and check your e-mail often for important information about your classes and your university. THIS IS PARTICULARLY IMPORTANT FOR STUDENTS TAKING ON-LINE COURSES.
To check or change the e-mail address that the university has for you, log into Campus Connect, go to Demographic Data on the " Student Information" pull-down menu, and then click " Update Information".
Students who prefer to use an e-mail account provided by the University may utilize the WebMail system. To initialize your WebMail account simply go to https://mirapoint.utpb.edu and log in using your UTPB computer account credentials. Be sure to list your preferred e-mail address in your CampusConnect demographic data even if you are using a UTPB e-mail address.

Vanity E-mail Addresses
This service is ONLY for departments and special events, vanity addresses are not available for individuals. All addresses must be of the format firstname.lastname@example.org. All vanity addresses are forwards to existing user accounts, a separate account with password will not be created.
